Volunteers Week 2023 is here, and we will be celebrating with our Volunteers from the 1st to 7th June… did someone say cake!
Your invitation to exciting events
We invite you to join us at one of our three Coffee and Cake events:
- The 6th June a special invitation to The Private Garden of the Bishops Palace Chichester,
- on the 20th June we will be at the Walled Garden Cafe in Tilgate Park and
- on Wednesday the 22nd June at the Palmcourt Pavilion, Worthing.
I hope that you can join us as we will be looking forward to meeting each and everyone of you. It’s also a great opportunity to meet fellow volunteers and the volunteer staff team. Have a chat with our new Counselling Service Lead, Andrew Watson. Catch up with the volunteer team: Jo Wilkinson and Pauline Malloy and myself Rosemarie Hegarty, Volunteer Service Manager. We would love to hear about your thoughts and experiences.
Look out for our Vlogs from our volunteers Liam and Mandy and our posts on the socials over the week. To mark volunteers week, we will be re-launching our Volunteer Newsletter, so check your inbox for news photos and updates. Also, join us on the journey to excellence as we kick start the Investors in Volunteers Accreditation.
Showing our gratitude
We often say ‘Thank You’ to our volunteers and to me these two short words carry in them enormous weight and gratitude for the gift of time you bring to us along with your hearts, knowledge and skills. Our volunteers enrich our charity and the lives of those we help, all staff at carers support agree with this sentiment. Here are just a few thank yous from our staff…
“Thank you for all your precious time spent supporting unpaid carers. Your help is so much appreciated.” Nancy Liddel, Carer Wellbeing worker
“Volunteers are such an important part of the Charity and your value in delivering our services is immense. As a volunteer, you are part of our history, but also very much part of our future. A huge THANK YOU for all you contribute.” Caroline Pope, Deputy CEO
“Dear Volunteers, the commitment, time, caring and sharing of your knowledge to support our Carers and Teams is an immense gift with a greater impact on the lives of our Carers.
Thank you.” Rosemarie Hegarty, Volunteer Service Manager
“You are all so appreciated, as without your help and support we could not do all that we do for carers, thank you so much.” Denise Wright, wellbeing worker
Happy Volunteers Week to all our wonderful Volunteers!
